Mass Cannabis Tech Founder Appointed to Two Advisory Boards; Launches International Line of Consumables
BOSTON, November 14, 2017 – Boston-based attorney, entrepreneur, inventor, and cannabis advocate, Shanel Lindsay, will serve on both the Massachusetts Cannabis Advisory Board and the advisory board for NorthBud Capital Holdings, a Canadian-based cannabis investment firm that has just completed its first round of investment in Ardent.
Lindsay, renowned for her expertise, experience and influence in the cannabis industry, was appointed to the 25-member Cannabis Advisory Board by Massachusetts State Treasurer, Deborah Goldberg as the expert in providing legal services to cannabis businesses. The newly formed Advisory Board will work with the Cannabis Control Commission to oversee and regulate the Massachusetts marijuana industry. NorthBud Capital Holdings, a Canadian incubator fund that invests exclusively in the cannabis industry, will leverage Lindsay’s deep understanding of the cannabis arena as a member of the company’s advisory board.
Lindsay is also the founder of Boston-based cannabis start-up, Ardent LLC, a multinational biotech and medical cannabis device company with pioneering technologies that drastically improve administration and effectiveness. Ardent’s flagship product is the Ardent NOVA, a laboratory-grade precision decarboxylator for medical cannabis patients.
“Being at the forefront of the cannabis industry as an inventor, business owner and advisor for the benefit of cannabis patients has always been my focus,” Lindsay said. “With these appointments, I’m excited to contribute Ardent’s values of innovation and education to the growth of good, compliant companies, both at home in Massachusetts and across Canada.”
Ardent’s most recent launch includes a new line of consumables that allows cannabis patients around the globe to make cannabis-filled capsules at home.
“This is truly the next phase for Ardent and for patients,” Lindsay explained. “With our capsules, it’s never been easier to make precise doses of activated cannabis that can be taken just as safely and discreetly as a daily multivitamin.”
